Bookkeep and Zoho Books Partner to Offer Revenue Automation to Its Growing Community of Accountants and Small Businesses

Additional Integrations with Clover, Toast and MindBody Strengthen Bookkeep’s Position As the Market Leader in Automated Ecommerce Accounting

St. Louis, Mo. (June 26, 2023) – Bookkeep, the smarter accounting automation platform, today at Scaling New Heights announced a new integration with Zoho Books, a cloud-based accounting software system used by more than 150,000 small businesses to automate invoicing, payments, and workflow. The integration will enable professional accountants and bookkeepers to generate accrual-based summaries, post journal entries and reconcile payment deposits automatically from more than 50 point of sale (POS) and ecommerce apps, such as PayPal, Shopify, and Amazon Seller.

Bookkeep’s technology delivers financial data in the format accountants need to enter it easily and efficiently into accounting systems. It uses accrual accounting methods to properly summarize sales and create a single journal entry for every type of transaction that relates to that day, rather than the day merchants receive money for the specific sale. Professionals who use the Bookkeep platform save at least 20 hours per month per client and can deliver more accurate, real-time reports to companies.

“I personally use Zoho Books in some of my retail businesses and I appreciate how seamless the platform is for a business owner or bookkeeper,” said Jason Richelson, CEO and co-founder, Bookkeep. “We wanted to deliver the same best-in-class revenue automation to Zoho Book clients that we’ve provided to other accounting ecosystems. It’s technology retailers demand and quickly depend on as they grow their businesses.”

Technology investments have become a critical priority for accountants and businesses alike. Accountants expect to spend an average of $15,800 on technology improvements and upgrades over the next year. Improving the accuracy of data for real-time decision making, gaining better access to data, and unifying systems and data are among the top three priorities for finance and accounting leadership, according to industry research.

As such, Bookkeep is rolling out additional new integrations with Clover, Toast and MindBody that will help accountants streamline their processes and eliminate manual data entry that is often still required to manage books. Accountants and bookkeepers can download Bookkeep directly from the respective App Stores and begin automating daily financials from these sales channels into their accounting systems.

We’re interested in building a unified accounting platform, and increasingly we’ve seen our accountants ask for better revenue automation tools,” said Val Steed, CPA, Director of Accountants, Zoho Corporation. We chose to integrate with Bookkeep because of its industry-leading automation and skill in designing ecommerce accounting solutions that reflect and address the needs of business owners and bookkeepers.”

The Zoho Books integration is currently in beta and will be generally available by July 2023. A demo of the technology will be offered onsite at Scaling New Heights at the Bookkeep booth #33. Visit www.bookkeep.com for more information.
